We’re excited to announce two new features we’ve added this week that a lot of our publishers have asked for: YouTube channels and commenting for mobile readers (powered by Disqus). Here’s how you can add them to your mobile site in less than 2 minutes!
Adding a YouTube channel to your MobStac site
To add a YouTube channel with videos that you want your mobile readers to enjoy, log in to your MobStac dashboard and go to the Feeds tab. Add a new YouTube feed by typing in your user name:
Once you add the feed, you can modify your site’s navigation menu (found under the Settings tab) on the top to add a link for the YouTube page that MobStac automatically creates for you.
That’s it, you’re done! This is what it looks like for a mobile visitor to your site:
Comments powered by Disqus
What’s a blog without comments, right? Well, you got your wish! All MobStac sites now enable mobile visitors to comment and participate fully in discussions thanks to our automatic integration with Disqus. All you have to do is tell us what the Disqus shortname for your blog is and MobStac does the rest!
Please make sure you enable the mobile theme on the Disqus settings page. Once you do that, this is what you see from a mobile device:
Please note that you will need to sign up for a Disqus account if you don’t have one.
